Laptop batteries don’t last forever; the more you use, the more it sucks the life out of your laptop battery. Laptops previously used nickel cadmium batteries that had poor battery retaining power and constantly needed charging. Now most electronic gadgets run on Lithium Ion batteries, they provide better battery life and are easy to take care of. One way to extend your battery life is to unplug it before it reaches 100 percent. Charging the laptop upto 80 percent and then letting it drain to 40 percent will prolong the battery life. Therefore, avoid keeping your laptop on charge for long hours because it shortens the life span of the battery. Other ways to save battery life is to keep it cool and avoid charging it when the charge is at 100 percent.
